Change color for 1 menu item

Post By:user_46714 | Reply

Hey Guys,

I would like to change my menu a bit, and I was thinking about changing the color of the SALES button inside my menu.
But my css makes the entire menu 1 color (witch is normal) Any idea how to make it possible to change the color for just 1 category

Thanks!

try this

catalog/view/theme/yourtheme/template/common/header.tpl

find

Code: Select all
<li><a href="<?php echo $category['href']; ?>"><?php echo $category['name']; ?></a>

replace with

Code: Select all
<?php if ($category['name'] = 'SALES') { <li style="color:#0f0f0f;"><a href="<?php echo $category['href']; ?>"><?php echo $category['name']; ?></a>
<?php } else { ?>
<li><a href="<?php echo $category['href']; ?>"><?php echo $category['name']; ?></a>
<?php } ?>
?>

If that doesn't work, then you will need to check the category id of the item which you want to change the colour of, and wrap the link around that if statement instead.
