Centralize 'Welcome to' title

Post By:user_48169 | Reply

The 'Welcome to' title and other page titles are all aligned to the left where as everything else is mostly centralized.
We've been trying to make them central as it could look better but can't seem to find the right code to add or edit.

The website is http://www.thebedderplace.co.uk to see what we mean.

Any ideas on this?

Many thanks!

In your theme stylesheet.css, you find this:

Code: Select all
#header #welcome {
   position: absolute;
   top: 47px;
   right: 0px;
   z-index: 5;
   width: 298px;
   text-align: right;
   color: #999999;

You could play around with the WIDTH-size to find a matching position.

Further up in the css-file, you also find the code below, declaring the WELCOME Font.
Code: Select all
h1, .welcome {
   color: #1c5871;
   font: Tahoma;
   margin-top: 0px;
   margin-bottom: 20px;
   font-size: 32px;
   font-weight: normal;
   text-shadow: 0 0 1px rgba(0, 0, 0, .01);
}

This Font Style/size is used for ALL <h1> Titles as well, so, if you need to change some of the
Content, related to Font-Style/Size/Margin/Coloir/e.t.c., you BETTER create a seperate CSS-Section
for the WELCOME Class Declaration, and remove it from the combined H1/WELCOME Section as shown above.

Another Solution is by 'extending' the OPTIONS in the WELCOME-Module, by use of a Modification, created by the OPENSHOP-Extension Contributor. I just tried to explain details in another post a few hours ago:

http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=130165

The Fellow did not understand a thing, but I tried anyway...

It can be found here, it's probably the most extensive OC-Enhancement available, I could not live without it.
http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=extension/extension&filter_search=OPenShop%20Extension

if you don't know CSS, the Web is FULL of Information. CSS is fundamental to make visual OC Modifications, therefore, one MUST get to know it to do changes.

Good Luck
